Hello Mr. Deng and tribe members:

Mr. Deng you are very nice to send so many letters to OddTodd for everyone to see.

I know of the good Chinese cooking because I have a Chinese friend here in the USA and sometimes she invites me to lunch or dinner. You are right. It's very good. Better than Chinese-American food. I like the dumplings, too.

My Chinese friend is a chiropractor and sometimes she treats my back and neck. I fix her car and bicycle if they break and sometimes make repairs to her house. She is nice like you!

Thank you,
Moe

      Mr. Deng:

I know some people are not nice. People are the same everywhere, even the banannas! My job is "public relations" but I quit my job to make a documentary movie of the USA desert in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. I will ride my motorcycle with video camera and camping supplies and tent (and lots of water). I will spend my own money and take all this summer and next summer to make the film (and the winter when it isn't too cold and snowing). Why? I do it because it makes people happy to see nature and animals. Also, maybe I can make more money selling the movie when it's done. Wish me luck! No more Chinese food while I'm in the desert!

      Best wishes,
      Moe

mr Deng I think 'Nice people' are overrated marketing devices.
I liked while I was traveling in China that people were not so nice - they were straight forward most of the time & kind often. I felt that they were less fake or false. I'm am not claiming there was not Nice behavior from store people & officials as we are all taught to do when selling something, but that I had many experiences & observations daily of people being kind, aloof, brash, clear without being 'nice' to the white woman.....

Personally I appreciated the down to earth ways. I came back from China a better person that understood appreciating my body & what I may have. I know that in work though a boss can be the worse experience in any country. People seem to take on a ruthlessness to please & gain that can hurt themselves but mostly first hurts others. I did see people very nervous when their 'boss' was present & worried much about them all the time.

What kind of work doe you do Mr Deng?
How far did you get to study? GIGI

        Dear Mrs. GIGI,

I working at the shoe factory in Suzhou and make the shoe for the People and the Army. I am the supervise of the plastics.
Before now I go to school for 2 year at Industry school in Suzhou to learn the business English.

ha You are very smarting about your say of the nice people.

The young people in China now are very soft so the government is worry to them that they did not live the hard life so in the future China will be more greedly when those young people are old.
The old people in China are more simple and live the hard life during the Time of Hardship in 1958 and Civilization Revolution after that, so they are so happy now and never complain to want the thing.

What is my meaning? No one knows that! Please chat to me soon.

        -Mr. Deng

ha ha, strangely Mr. Deng, I understood every word you wrote!!!
          That should scare me.

I think all cultures can be that way a little bit. The older people struggled much more growing up, but appreciate things more because of it.

Not knowing history, feeling the ancestors history, leads people to softness, yes? The people who lived through the old times already had memory of even harder times, but also how hard work, understanding & unity could overcome those times.
Greedy people who don't struggle for their bounty are like hand fed birds that can eat but they cannot fly......
